Hi, I’m SCOTT GILMORE.

I live and breathe Denver. I have always been actively involved in community issues and am a solution-based advocate for this city. As a longtime resident of Far Northeast Denver, I have grave concerns about the transparency and accountability of the current administration in Denver. As the former Deputy Executive Director of Denver Parks and Recreation, my values are based on being honest, dependable and accessible. I do not see that in the current leadership of the city. I was one of the 171 highly skilled and dedicated city employees that were laid off during the Johnston Administration employee purge of 2025. I continue to be committed to the truth and transparency that I hold dear as I continue to serve the residents of this city.

I want to see viable and implementable solutions for transportation, safety and housing. We should not be building bike lanes and sidewalks that lead to nowhere just to count the miles. We need reliable transportation options that support climate resiliency. We need to work with Xcel Energy on reliable service, including improved lighting in communities to increase safe passage through our neighborhoods. We need to implement programs that provide stable, appropriate housing opportunities for young people, our community elders, and everybody in between during these challenging times. And of course, I will always advocate for high-quality park and recreation opportunities that support our physical and mental health.

I am dedicated and compassionate and would be honored to serve as a City Councilperson for the community I have lived in for over 50 years. The community that has embraced me and taught me the values, principles, morals that I hold dear.
